Welcome! In the 1997-1998 academic year, DePaul University introduced an undergraduate major in Public Policy Studies. The program's curriculum introduces students to key public policy concerns in the areas of Environmental policy and Urban policy, identifies fundamental conceptual tools in the development and analysis of public policies, and provides a foundation in basic policy theory and research methods.

Students who major in Public Policy Studies have a variety of career options. Traditionally, this has been a field leading to work in governmental settings, but in recent years the proliferation of community-based organizations and other non-profit groups have opened up new occupational opportunities for students with training in specific public policy fields or public policy analysis.

Public Policy is also a useful undergraduate major for students intending to pursue graduate training in the social sciences, law, business, as well as various specialized policy areas.

For more information about the program, please contact Dr. Kelly Tzoumis, Chairperson of Public Policy Studies via email (KellyTzoumis@ameritech.net) or by calling the Public Policy Studies office at 773-325-7715.
